We will be using this blog to keep you updated on the latest events and activities happening here at Benoni. There is always so much going on here to celebrate, whether it's birthdays, parties, delicious recipes from our Kitchen or staff achievements. 

A whistle stop of tour of what's been happening over the last few months. Well let's start with our Summer Party which we held in June. It was a fabulous day (despite the fog), we enjoyed a delicious BBQ hosted by our wonderful kitchen staff, had live music from a visiting singer, had games, a raffle and a tombola. Prizes were generously donated from across our local community; Land's End Hotel (overnight stay and a cream tea), Carbis Bay Hotel (cream tea), a reading from medium Sue Payne, Little Blossoms, Clemo, The Square, relatives and staff. As a result we raised an incredible £500 to bolster our Comfort Fund which supports outings for residents. Most of all, we had so much fun. Thank you to all for your support. 

In staff news, we have now have three of our team enrolled at Plymouth University to start or continue their journey to Registered Nurses. The same also goes of course to our L3 and L5 Apprentices. It's wonderful to see them growing in skill and confidence and have them bring back their learning to us at Benoni. 

We are now looking forward to the Autumn Season, with changes to our menu to include seasonal, warming goodness and, of course, upcoming Halloween Party. Here at Benoni we can't resist an opportunity for a bit dressing up fun. Photos to be shared after the event!
